50 Cent Shares The Official Trailer For His New Series ‘Hip Hop Homicides,’ Which Will Investigate The Murders Of Several High-Profile Rappers

50 Cent has shared the trailer for his next television project which investigates the murders of several high-profile rappers.

The highly anticipated “Hip Hop Homicides” series will officially premiere on WE tv on Monday, November 3. The forthcoming show is an investigative series produced by 50 Cent and Mona Scott-Young with journalist/podcaster Van Lathan hosting the show. It will take a deep dive into the unsolved murders in the hip-hop community by breaking down evidence, gathering exclusive eyewitness testimonies, and analyzing conspiracies.

The investigative series will shine light onto the untimely deaths of rap stars like XXXTENTACION, King Von, Chinx and Soulja Slim, among others.

The eight-episode series will look to uncover details about the murders — many of which are still unsolved — and includes celebrity interviews with those close to the late artists including French Montana, Juvenile, and Asian Doll.

In the opening scene, Van Lathan says,

“As of 2022, there have been a staggering number of rappers who have been murdered. And more than half of those cases are unsolved. I’m your host, Van Lathan, and together with executive producer 50 Cent, we’re here to bring these cases into the light.”

In a press release for the series, 50 Cent had this to say:

“G-Unit Film and Television has thrived by telling real stories. As I continue to grow my current slate, premium non-scripted programming will be a major focus. Hip Hop loves things that are damaged. This series will shed light on the artists that didn’t make it through the struggle.”

The rapper turned production mogul is no stranger to the world of television. 50 Cent has achieved undeniable success as an executive producer over the years, most notably for his critically acclaimed “Power” series and its multiple spin-offs shows that make up the “Power” universe. He’s also executive-produced popular shows like “BMF” and “For Life” and had a directorial debut in the film “Den of Thieves.”
