eBay Gives Jeffrey Dahmer Costume The Boot, Sellers Banned From Listing Items That ‘Promote Or Glorify Violence Or Violent Individuals’
Anyone looking for a Jeffrey Dahmer costume on eBay can forget about it!
The e-commerce discovered an uptick in listings for the real-life monster’s Halloween costume. The company credits the recently released Netflix series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story for the sudden interest. As a result, eBay removed any listings for the costume from its website.
Sources confirmed the news from the online retailer:
“A spokesperson confirmed that the selling platform was actively removing these listings and that they were ‘prohibited,’ although some listings are still active at the time of publication…The company policy states that sellers are banned from listing items that ‘promote or glorify violence or are associated with violent individuals, the acts for which they gained notoriety, or crime scenes from the past 100 years.’”
This was seemingly welcomed news to those disgusted by the horrible man showcased in the series.

eBay’s ban on the Dahmer fit may have put the relatives of the 17 victims he murdered and dismembered at ease as well. As previously reported, families of his victims recently spoke out against Netflix’s project about Dahmer.

Eric Perry, a relative of Dahmer victim Errol Lindsey, wrote,
“I’m not telling anyone what to watch, I know true crime media is huge rn, but if you’re actually curious about the victims, my family (the Isbell’s) are pissed about this show. It’s retraumatizing over and over again, and for what? How many movies/shows/documentaries do we need?”
However, rapper Rick Ross caught some heat after he expressed interest in purchasing the convicted murderer’s shades.
“Locate me a pair of Dahmer shades.”
