Chad Ochocinco Surprised Sharelle Rosado With An Engagement Ceremony & 7.5 Carat Ring: I Was Shocked, It Was Absolutely Beautiful

Former NFL star Chad Ochocinco made his engagement to girlfriend Sharelle Rosado official recently with a private ceremony and pricey ring.

As we reported back in January, it seemed the ex football player had already popped the question. Sharelle Rosado, 35 posted a picture to her instagram story donning a gorgeous ring with the caption:

“I said yessss”

However, it’s now reported that while the two maintained they were engaged after, the ring was not THE engagement ring. Reportedly, Ochocinco, 44, recently planned an intimate event with all of the couple’s loved ones present to witness him getting down on one knee, and officially asking the realtor to become his wife.

During a recent interview the “Selling Tampa” star gushed about the moment, stating:

“I’m honestly shocked! I’m at a loss for words. This was absolutely beautiful and to see my family and friends here to celebrate our love, that really did it for me,” 

Adding:

“Chad must have kept this completely a secret because I had no idea…He is definitely not a planner, so for him to pull this off for me is so amazing…Just the thought he put into this and having our family and friends here to witness says a lot.”

Reportedly, the 20 guest engagement took place in Miami, which Ochocinco luring his soon to be wife by guising the event as a party to celebrate his 45th birthday coming up on the 9th of this month. Additionally, the athlete reportedly gifted his betrothed a 7 1/2 carat ring.

Rosado also touched on the engagement being “the next step” in the “beautiful journey” with her fiancé, stating:

“I’m so emotional because when we first started dating, he used to always tell me, ‘I’m going to make you my wife’…Although in my heart I knew we were always meant to be, now that it’s official, it’s even more special than I could have ever dreamed,”

“We are already talking about possibly getting married in the Bahamas and having the Valley Boys Junkanoo close us out. It’s a special spot for us, we celebrated our daughter’s first birthday in the Bahamas as a family over the holidays.”
