Former ‘RHOA’ Producer Carlos King Slams ‘RHOP’ Star Robyn Dixon For Hiding Husband’s Affair From Viewers + Alludes Allegations Against Candiace Dillard Bassett’s Husband Were ‘Made Up’ To Distract From Dixon’s Marital Issues
Carlos King certainly knows a thing or two about reality television, and he is not here for the latest season of Real Housewives of Potomac.
The executive producer of Love & Marriage: Huntsville and Belle Collective, didn’t hold back as he criticized certain ladies of the RHOP franchise, specifically Robyn Dixon, for deliberately hiding aspects of their personal lives from viewers. His comments came in response to Robyn Dixon’s recent admission that her two-time husband Juan Dixon did, in fact, cheat with another woman — despite her previously denying the allegations.
The shocking confession was revealed on her Reasonably Shady podcast. While chatting with her co-host/fellow RHOP cast member Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon claimed she wanted to clear the air of “lies” and “things being misconstrued” regarding the situation. She said,
“I was already aware of the situation and I expected to talk about it on season 7…when it was presented to me it was discussed, it was handled….It was something we had to work through.”

During a recent conversation on his podcast, Carls King addressed what Robyn Dixon shared and said,
“I am pissed. Robyn admitting that she hid her story from the world on the show that pays you is a slap in the face to everyone involved, including the audience. And the fact that you have the audacity to go on your podcast to reveal this. We spent this entire half *ssed season with these made up storylines about Chris Bassett. And yes, I’m going to say made up, because I, allegedly, was told that a few of the housewives had a meeting before filming about what the ‘storyline’ was going to be and that this Chris Bassett stuff was going to be was part of that conversation.”
Carlos King previously sat down with Candiace Dillard-Bassett to discuss the allegations involving her husband, Chris Bassett.
As previously reported, the drama started earlier this season when Gizelle Bryant had a sit down with co-star Karen Huger. Gizelle Bryant questioned if she overstepped by telling Candiace Dillard-Bassett her husband made her feel uncomfortable during a private chat they had at last year’s show reunion. Gizelle explained to Karen Huger:
“So he comes up to me, he was like, you know, ‘can I talk to you?’ ‘Sure!’ He said ‘well can we go to your room?’ So I open the door and I realized my glam had left.”
During the same episode, Chris Bassett shared his point of view, which differed from what Gizelle recalled. He said,
“Theres nobody in there. So I even suggested [we] leave the door open. I don’t need anybody, you know, suggesting anything else. She was like ‘yeah, I don’t need any rumors like that going on about me either.'”
However, Gizelle continued her side of things and added,
“I’m uncomfortable. I’m in a hotel room with a married man and it is his word against mine as to what’s happening in this room…He did not touch me. The fact that it was happening. What I do remember was saying to myself ‘I don’t feel good and I want him to leave.’ and I said ‘can you see if they’re ready for me to come back?’ He immediately left.”
As he continued to call out the cast members for their season seven actions, King added,
“I’ve always said there was something off about this season and now I know what it is: None of y’all are living y’all real lives. Your admission Robyn has proved the fact that Potomac is nothing but a show about women exposing each other and throwing each other under the bus. It’s not about real friendships, real relationships, or your real life. It’s not about that anymore. I feel like the only person who really wants to give their real lives and really are looking for a connection with the cast is Candiace, Wendy and even Mia. The OGs, y’all are a big disappointment.”
