‘RHOP’ Alum Katie Rost Reveals She Relapsed: ‘I Did What I Should, Went Immediately To A meeting’

Katie Rost is looking forward to a fresh start after relapsing.

“The Real Housewives Of Potomac” alum got candid with fans and revealed that she recently relapsed.

On Wednesday (Feb.8) Katie Rost tweeted,

“I relapsed, I had decided to abstain from drugs, white claw and Adderall, and sex , tonight I failed in one of those. I did what I should [and] went immediately to a meeting. But yup, starting over: day 1 #recovery”

Fans were quick to respond to Katie, sending their concerns and well wishes.

The former reality star admitted to one fan that she does have a sponsor and is thankful her sponsor was there to support her during her relapse.

Despite relapsing, Katie appeared to be optimistic about her future and maintaining supportive people in her circle while continuing to attend AA meetings.

“Day 1: I want nothing to do with people and things that don’t support my life. I love my friends. Love my mom. Love my future. I know who I am. And I believe in AA. More than a safety net- hi my name is Katie and I’m an alcoholic and an addict. #sober”

While reflecting on her mistake, Katie gave herself a pat on the back for how quickly she was able to “bounce back” and how she reached out to her sponsor without hesitation.

“Just listening to Machine Gun Kelly, being nice to myself, realizing that, I bounced back quick, reached out immediately, and this is a life long thing that I can and will handle. My sponsor pointed this out: “it happened on your “day off” we don’t have days off Katie.” #sober”

The Bravolebrity recently revealed that she completed a stint in rehab and is now working a minimum-wage job. On Feb. 3 Katie Rost took to Instagram to share a selfie of herself smiling in a vitamin aisle of a store. She wrote:

“Jesus Christ , I started working , like a real job. I just got off of an 8 hour shift working minimum wage.”

The 42-year-old added:

A guy who works at a restaurant next to where I work asked if he could give me a foot massage. I feel like a real person instead of a reality tv person; I made $14 an hour,… Keepin it real”

 

In the comment section of her post, she shared with a fan that she works at Bethesda Co-op, an organic market in Cabin John, Maryland. This life update comes after Katie Rost participated in a 30-day rehabilitation program in October of 2022, to help with her alcohol and Adderall addiction.
