Quavo Drops New Song That Alludes Migos Is Over For Good: Don’t Ask About The Group […] It Can’t Come Back
There won’t be a Migos reunion anytime soon.
On Wednesday (Feb. 22), an official video for Quavo’s “Greatness” track was published to YouTube. During the song, which is a little over 3 minutes long, Quavo alludes that his (estranged) hip-hop group Migos is officially over. Quavo, 31, raps:
“Never forget that the Migos amazin’/ Look at the ice and the knots in my pants, you know that them young n*gg*s made it.”

Quavo, Takeoff, Offset
He continues:
“Came in, swept the game like a storm with the m*th*f*ck*ng flow, n*gg*, Take did that/ So don’t ask about the group, he gone, we gone, young n*gg* it can’t come back, damn!”
In the outro, he adds:
“I couldn’t do it without the greatest group in the world … I couldn’t do it without the greatest nephew in the world.”
As you may recall, last November one-third of the Migos group, Takeoff, born Kirsnick Khari Ball, was fatally shot outside the 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston. However, even before his death, the Migos were dealing with some issues.
As previously reported, Quavo and Takeoff debuted their “Unc & Phew” duo project last October titled “Only Built For Infinity Links.” The album includes a track called “Messy,” where Quavo’s bars left many wondering if his ex-girlfriend Saweetie had sexual relations with Offset.
Quavo, born Quavious Keyate Marshall, referenced Saweetie’s appearance on Yung Miami’s “Caresha Please” podcast when he raps :
“I said, ‘Caresha please’ ’cause she too messy (Woo, please).”
Quavo continues the verse and adds:
“B*tch f*ck*d my dawg behind my back, but I ain’t stressin’ (Not at all)/You wanted the gang, you shoulda just said it, we would have blessed it (You shoulda just said it)/Now shit got messy (Uh).”
Despite rumors, Quavo, Offset, 31, and Takeoff never confirmed what caused a strain in their relationship. However, prior to Takeoff’s death, fans did notice that Offset, real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus, and his wife – fellow rapper Cardi B – unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff on social media.
During a past interview on N.O.R.E’s “Drink Champs” podcast, N.O.R.E. asked Quavo and his nephew if they’d be up to do a Verzuz battle with their estranged group member. Takeoff replied:
“If the check right.”
