Zendaya Has Reportedly Re-Negotiated Her Contract For Euphoria & Will Now Be Paid Nearly $1M Per Episode
Zendaya has allegedly re-negotiated her contract with HBO where she will be paid nearly $1 million per episode for the upcoming third season of Euphoria.
According to reports, Zendaya and her team recently approached the network about adjusting her contract.
The actress played a huge part in the success of Euphoria, making it one of the highest-watched shows in HBO’s history.
An insider shared that Zendaya has now joined the list of celebrities making around $1 million per episode. According to the source, she “just closed a big re-negotiation on HBO’s Euphoria that likely puts her close to that club.”

Other stars pulling in $1 million per episode include Chris Pratt for The Terminal List, Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren in 1923, Jason Sudeikis on Ted Lasso, and Kevin Costner for Yellowstone.
Zendaya brought in even more money after becoming an executive producer in season 2. During a previous interview, the actress said becoming a producer on the series “felt like the right thing.”
She explained,
“On the first season, I was already doing it without having the title. Sam was giving me the space to be creative and to learn, and so when it came down to the second season — and also the in-between [special] episodes — it just felt like the right thing to have it in a more official capacity.”
Zendaya then expressed how the show has given her a lot of hands-on experience which has allowed her to grow as an actress.
“The show has allowed me to come out of my shell as an actress, but also behind the camera, being in a place where there are no bad ideas, and you feel safe enough to speak up and say, ‘Hey, what if we tried this?’”
She continued,
“I’m there every step of the way, even through editing, and that’s really, really special. You don’t usually get that kind of hands-on experience, and everybody is different with how they choose to produce. It’s a labor of love for all of us.”
Euphoria premiered in June 2019 and became an overnight sensation. Euphoria follows the troubled life of 17-year-old Rue, a drug addict fresh from rehab with no plans to stay clean. The series also follows a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma, and social media.
For her performance, Zendaya has won two Primetime Emmy Awards, a Critics’ Choice Television Award, and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress.
