Wendy Williams Reportedly Tells Friends She Wants To ‘Get Drunk’ While Bar Hopping In NYC, Despite Recent Rehab Stay

Famed media personality Wendy Williams seems to have had a wild night out recently.

According to reports, several associates of the 58-year-old have claimed she was looking to – and did, get hammered while partying in New York this past weekend.

Reportedly, the escapade began while Wendy Williams was dining at Fresco by Scotto on St. Patrick’s Day. If you recall, the entertainer was seen there last month, filming what’s suspected to be a coming reality show. A podcaster by the name of Rob Shuter reportedly stated on her recent appearance at the eatery, however, that the entertainer looked “lonely,” but “lit up like a Christmas tree” upon seeing recognizable faces.

Wendy Williams reportedly invited Shuter and others to dine with her. When everyone was finished eating, the former daytime talk show host asked if the group wanted to continue the night out by going to a bar. Shuter reportedly stated on the matter:

“We had a bite, we had some drinks, but then when we were getting ready to say goodbye, Wendy didn’t really want us to leave,”

Another diner reportedly added:

“She kept saying she wanted to get drunk tonight,” 

And:

“She wasn’t hiding [her drinking],”

Reportedly, the night eventually ended with the group at a gay bar, where Williams allegedly said to the doorman:

“Do you watch ‘The Wendy Williams Show?’ I’m Wendy Willams.”

A source reportedly stated about the interaction:

“It was so odd because obviously people know who she is,”

Attendees reported that upon entering the establishment, fans of Williams came up in droves for photo-ops. Another source reportedly claimed she was a “hit” at the event and continued drinking the night away. While neither the TV host nor her reps have publicly commented about the allegations, the reports suggest Willams may be in a relapse period. As we reported back in September, the entertainer checked into rehab after an intense battle with alcohol addiction.

Reports of the wellness stay came after Williams battled other health concerns that forced her to leave her talk series “The Wendy Williams Show.” The entertainer eventually checked out of the establishment and sources claimed at the time that she felt “better than ever.” However, it seems Williams may not have fully recovered from the issue after all.
