Drake Fined $10K Per Minute For Performing Past Curfew At Detroit Concert
Rapper Drake apparently had to cough up a hefty amount of money this past weekend for performing past curfew at a concert in Detroit.
On Saturday (July 8) Drake’s “It’s All A Blur” tour made a stop in Detroit as his second city on his North American run. Somewhere during the performance, things seemingly got off schedule for Drake and his co-headliner 21 Savage, and the Canadian rap star announced to the crowd that they were running over the designated curfew. However, despite going over time, Drake ensured his fans that they were going to be provided with a full show experience.

While on stage, Drake revealed that he’d be willing to pay the fine for breaking the time restriction in order to finish his show. The fee reportedly costs $10,000 for every minute beyond the city’s curfew. As he stood alongside 21 Savage, the 36-year-old told the audience,
“It’s $10,000 a minute to stay in this building past curfew. I don’t give a f*ck. We’re doing this whole song, let’s go.”
Reports claim the “Rich Flex” hitmakers performed 23 minutes past curfew, accumulating a $230,000 fine.
At one point during the concert, Drake also teased his upcoming album “For All The Dogs” and revealed that it will have a feature with rap artist Nicki Minaj, which is said to be their first collaboration in years.

The “It’s All A Blur” tour kicked off on July 5 in Chicago and is in support of Drake and 21 Savage’s 2022 collaborative album “Her Loss.”
