C-Murder’s Alleged Victim’s Family Slams Kim Kardashian For Advocating For His Prison Release

The family of C-Murder’s alleged victim appears to believe Kim Kardashian is doing more harm than good.

In case you didn’t know, C-Murder, real name Corey Miller, has been in prison for over two decades for allegedly beating and fatally shooting a fan, Steve Thomas, 16, at the Platinum nightclub in Louisiana. He was arrested on January 19, 2002, for causing a disturbance and indicted on February 28, 2002.

According to reports, the brother of the victim, George Thomas, shared a statement and said anytime a celebrity publicly supports C-Murder’s release, old wounds are reopened which makes it difficult to properly grieve the young teen.

George Thomas also expressed that the recent advocacy from media personality Kim Kardashian has caused his family to relive his brother’s murder. He then alleged there’s substantial evidence that points to C-Murder as the gunman and only celebrities are pushing to see the brother of rapper Master P freed from behind bars.

George Thomas’ comments come after Kim Kardashian shared a statement on her Twitter account defending C-Murder’s release “for a crime he did not commit.” In the lengthy post, she noted a new Louisiana law that allows the incarcerated to prove their innocence by submitting new factual evidence. In addition, she mentioned that C-Murder’s conviction is based on the testimony of two men who have both recanted their statements.

In part, Kim Kardashian said,

“Louisiana recently enacted a new law that provides innocent people with the ability to raise a post-conviction claim of factual innocence. Mr. Miller has raised such a claim and, like all of his prior post-conviction filings, has been denied relief without even so much as an evidentiary hearing. In light of the fact that the only witnesses have completely recanted their testimony, there is absolutely no remaining evidence against Mr. Miller.”

The former “No Limit” rapper is currently serving a life sentence after being found guilty of second-degree murder for the beating and shooting death of Steve Thomas.
