Kevin Hart Abruptly Closes All Of His Vegan Fast-Food Restaurants After 2 Years

Comedian Kevin Hart has reportedly shut down all of his vegan fast food chains.

Reports state that all four of the 45-year-old’s Hart House restaurants officially closed their doors this past Tuesday September 10th.

The announcement was reportedly confirmed via Hart House’s CEO Andy Hooper, who stated during an interview with the Eater Los Angeles:

“The response to the product has been incredible, and we thank our committed team, our customers, and our community partners for helping make the change we all craved, and for their unwavering support of Hart House,”

Additionally, the official Hart House Instagram page made a post about their closings, sharing an image with the words “thank you” written across and captioning the post:

“Thank you. To our team, guests, and community, who helped make the change we all craved. A Hartfelt goodbye for now as we start a new chapter.”

As we previously covered, Kevin Hart announced his plans to open a sustainable line of healthy fast food options back in June of last year. Promising that the eateries would offer affordable foods that would not contain preservatives, artificial colors, hormones, antibiotics, high-fructose corn syrup, trans fats or cholesterol, he stated:

“As someone who has been preaching ‘Health is Wealth’, building Hart House felt like the natural evolution of my flexitarian lifestyle and my business ecosystem,”

He added:

“I’m beyond proud of this industry-changing restaurant and the amazing team behind it working tirelessly to create delicious, sustainable food that delivers ‘Can’t-Believe-It’ flavor in every bite.”

Hart opened the doors of his flagship restaurant on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue in August of last year, and subsequently opened three more locations in Los Angeles’ Westchester, Monrovia, and University Park. It has not been reported what ultimately led to the locations closing at this time.
