Ketanji Brown Jackson just added Broadway star to her resume!
On Saturday (Dec. 14), the first Black woman to sit on the Supreme Court took the stage in a one-night performance of & Juliet, fulfilling a teenage dream she described in her Harvard application essay.
In her memoir Lovely One, the justice shared her vision of becoming “the first Black, female Supreme Court justice to appear on a Broadway stage.” The show honored this dream by creating a special ensemble role just for her.
Ketanji Brown Jackson’s love for theater dates back to her Harvard days, where she acted alongside Matt Damon in a scene she said earned her rave reviews.
