Wendy Williams Officially Signs Document To End Guardianship
Wendy Williams has taken steps to end her guardianship.
Sources confirm Wendy Williams signed an affidavit on Wednesday, requesting the judge to release her from the arrangement. The document states Wendy Williams has “regained capacity” to live independently without a guardian.
Wendy also denies having Frontotemporal Dementia, a condition previously diagnosed by doctors. In the documentary, “TMZ Presents: Saving Wendy,” it’s explained that Frontotemporal Dementia is not progressive, and Wendy’s recovery is evident compared to two years ago.
Wendy will undergo a re-evaluation next Tuesday by a doctor chosen by her attorney, who will file an Emergency Order the next day to push for the guardianship’s end. If denied, Wendy intends to request a jury trial to decide whether she can manage her own life.
In the documentary, Wendy describes feeling like a prisoner, with no freedom, visitors, or even internet access. “Saving Wendy” is available for free on Tubi.
