Gabby Douglas Makes History As The 1st Black All-Around Gymnast Inducted Into U.S. & Paralympic Hall Of Fame Class Of 2025
Gabby Douglas headlines the 2025 U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame class, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) announced. Gabby Douglas, a three-time Olympic gold medalist and 2012 all-around champion, was selected after nominations and voting, including over 300,000 fan votes.
Gabby Douglas made history at the 2012 London Olympics, becoming the first Black woman to win the all-around gold medal in gymnastics. She also secured two Olympic team golds (2012, 2016) and six total medals in Olympic and world competitions. Notably, she was the first U.S. gymnast to win gold in both the all-around and team events at a single Olympics, breaking barriers at just 16.

The 2025 induction ceremony will take place on July 12 in Colorado Springs. Other inductees include Allyson Felix, Serena Williams, and Mike Krzyzewski. USOPC CEO Sarah Hirshland praised their “extraordinary accomplishments” and the impact on Team USA.
