12-Year-Old Virginia Boy To Be Honored By City After Saving Grandmother & Siblings From House Fire
A young boy from Petersburg, Virginia, is being praised for his incredible bravery after rescuing his grandmother and young brothers from a house fire earlier this week.
According to reports, 12-year-old Ramir Parker jumped into action when a fire broke out inside their home on Burks Street on June 3. Officials say Ramir was upstairs talking with his grandmother when he heard a strange crackling noise that quickly intensified.

Realizing something was wrong, his first thought was for his baby brothers, just 1 and 2 years old, who had recently woken up from a nap downstairs. As thick black smoke began rising from the basement, Ramir alerted his grandmother to the fire before running through the smoke-filled house to save the toddlers.
While the fire left the home severely damaged, Ramir’s heroism shines through the devastation. The city’s fire department has announced that he will be honored at an upcoming award ceremony.
Shoutout to Ramir!
