GloRilla Concert Canceled After Promoters Allegedly Forge Contracts, Triggering $2.5 Million Lawsuit Over Fake Bookings

GloRilla Concert Canceled After Promoters Allegedly Forge Contracts, Triggering $2.5 Million Lawsuit Over Fake Bookings
A Cleveland concert that was supposed to feature GloRilla has sparked a $2.5 million lawsuit after allegations of forged documents and fake artist agreements surfaced.
Esmail Entertainment filed suit against Shaw Management Enterprises on August 4, accusing the group of submitting phony contracts for a show at the Wolstein Center set for September 6, 2025. The event was advertised to include GloRilla, joined by friends Moneybagg Yo, and Skilla Baby.
According to Esmail, Shaw Management abruptly told them to halt all marketing just two days after ticket sales launched, without explanation. When Esmail contacted GloRilla’s team, they learned she never signed a deal to perform. The suit also claims negotiations with her team were still ongoing and that Big Glo ultimately declined to sign due to the alleged forgery.
Contracts for the other performers were allegedly fake as well. Esmail says it wired $280,000 in deposits, with only $20,000 returned. Despite the cancellation, resale tickets remain online for over $1,000.
The six-count complaint includes fraud and civil theft.
Yikes! What are your thoughts on this janky promoter?
