Stephen Curry Says He Doesn’t Focus On His $240M Net Worth: “That’s Not Something I Worry About”
Stephen Curry is sharing a different perspective on wealth — despite being one of the highest-paid athletes in the world.
In a recent interview with Complex, the Golden State Warriors star addressed conversations around money, legacy, and long-term impact.
“To be honest, that’s not something I really worry about too much,” Curry said, referring to his reported $240 million net worth. “I got somebody that takes care of that for me.”
Instead, he explained that his focus is on building something meaningful.
“The idea is about creating a portfolio of stuff that is aspirational in terms of your wealth,” he added, shifting the conversation away from raw numbers and toward purpose.
Curry also revealed that he and his wife, Ayesha Curry, don’t center their conversations around legacy.
“Me and my wife hate talking about legacy, that’s self-serving,” he said. “You want to have something that you look back on and are proud of knowing.”
He continued by emphasizing gratitude and responsibility, saying they’ve been “blessed with so many opportunities” and want to be “good stewards” of what they have.
