Julio Foolio Convicted K*ller Davion Murphy Maintains Innocence While Warning Gen Z:
‘It Ain’t Worth It’

Davion Murphy delivered one of the most pointed messages from the Julio Foolio m*rder sentencing, maintaining his innocence while warning younger people not to follow a path that could end in prison.

Murphy was one of four men sentenced to life in prison without parole after being convicted in connection with the 2024 k*lling of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones.

During his time before the judge, Murphy continued to deny responsibility but still used the moment to speak directly to young people watching the case.

I just want to say to the Gen Z generation: change your life and do something productive with your life because in this predicament, it ain’t worth it,” Murphy said.

Foolio was sh*t and k*lled on June 23, 2024, while celebrating his 26th birthday in Tampa. Authorities said the rapper was ambushed outside a hotel after being followed from multiple locations. The sentencing brings the high-profile case closer to a close, even as Murphy continues to stand by his innocence, and the fallout continues to echo through Jacksonville’s rap scene.
