Malcolm D. Lee In Talks To Produce THIRD ‘Best Man’ Film + Director Takes Shots At Tyler Perrys Film Making Skills
Praises continue for the director and cast of ‘The Best Man Holiday‘. Domestically, the film directed by Malcolm D. Lee, grossed over $30 million with the second-highest opening for an urban romantic comedy and the sixth-biggest opening for an urban-themed film overall. And there’s more potentially great news for those who love the film.
According to Deadline, Lee is negotiating a deal with Universal to write, direct and produce another installment of the ensemble romantic comedy.

Preach Brother Lee!!! I have been thinking the SAME thing! I feel like Tyler’s movies have been going down hill since Daddy’s Little Girls. With a Tyler Perry movie I expect the following: him in drag (Madea), romanticized stereotypes of African Americans, a few Christian values swirled in with a cheesy plot! I want MORE than that! Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a case of “crabs in a barrel”. Tyler has made monumental success and I wish him more. I just want more from him creatively…
