[EXCLUSIVE] Oprah Settles Lawsuit With Chicken Wing Reality Show
The company states they trademarked the name “WING-MEN” for their online show. However, they explain that last month OWN Network announced the premiere of a show focusing on a Chicken Wing business titled WINGMEN, which is about a “small-town food truck business selling a revolutionary twist on a culinary classic: stuffed chicken wings”.
The company sued, claiming OWN’s show was going to cause confusion in the marketplace and they demanded an injunction against her from using the same name for her show.
Then on August 22nd, Rags to Rick Production filed docs in the case dismissing the entire legal action. This means Oprah and the company came to a settlement over the name of the show. The entire lawsuit was dismissed and the case was closed the same day.
