Hallmark, Honda, Crayola & More Pull Advertising Dollars From VH1, Over Controversial Show ‘Sorority Sisters’ (UPDATE)
VH1’s new reality show, Sorority Sisters, is more controversial than we thought. As previously reported, the non-scripted show has received some backlash. This week, Carmex — a VH1 advertiser — announced that it would not be advertising with the network. Their reason? Apparently, their customers have voiced their concerns about the show. In a reply to news correspondent Roland Martin, the brand’s verified Twitter account wrote:
Yes. We’ll be pulling our ads from VH1 until the program is pulled in order to join our voice with many of our customers.
