(EXCLUSIVE) Sean Kingston Slapped With $350K Judgement in Legal Battle w/ Jeweler
However, the company accused Kingston of never paying anything on the $200K he owed for the pieces. They even said the rapper wrote several checks to them that bounced. Further, they said Kingston was loaned a $12K ring for a TV appearance but he never returned it to them.
The jewelery company filed suit against Kingston for $226K for the unpaid balance plus 1 million in damages for his actions. On Febuary 10th, the jeweler filed docs demanding a default judgement in the amount of nearly $1 million dollars.
The company says that Kingston was served with the legal papers back in December but he has not addressed the lawsuit, nor has he responded or appeared in court.
On March 6th, the judge slapped Kingston with a default judgement in the amount of $356,352.50.
The judgement consists of $30K for the jewelers attorney fees and the remaining $320K for the damages Kingston caused the jewelry company. The case was closed the same day. See the exclusive court docs.
