(EXCLUSIVE) David Beckham Settles Legal Battle With Tabloid Over Prostitute Allegations
The tabloid never produced documents by which it claimed confirmed Beckham’s whereabouts during the time periods it said he was with the prostitute. Beckham stated in the suit: “Bauer did not offer any information or evidence that would even suggest that it sought or received any corroborating from …. the alleged prostitute, which would prove or disprove the veracity of the Article”. Beckham denied the allegations in the published article.
Then last year, docs were filed which state Beckham and the publishing company renewed talks in January to settle the case out of court. They both agreed to have mediation talks in NY or LA and they anticipated to reach an agreement.
The settlement talks had gone on for over a year with multiple meetings with both parties who attempted to settle the case once and for all.
Then finally on March 1st, Beckham and the magazine company filed docs in the case stating they both agree to dismiss the appeal meaning all claims have been settled. The settlement has them both paying their own attorney fees and costs they incurred from the case.
