Kylie Jenner’s Cornrows Sparks A Tongue-Lashing About Black Culture From Amandla Stenberg
Over the weekend, Kylie Jenner, socialite, fashion model and youngest of the Kardashian klan, found herself in a heated exchange that left her according to sources ‘Horrified’. This debate shockingly wasn’t with long time rival Blac Chyna who is also a socialite and mother of a son shared with rapper Tyga who is also linked to Kylie, but with Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg. [FYI: Jaden Smith escorted her to prom in May of this year].
The debate started by what appears to be a photo Kylie posted to her instagram, with her rocking cornrows. After seeing this post, Amandla commented
when you appropriate black features and culture but fail to use your position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards your wigs, instead of Police brutality or racism,#whitegirlsdoitbetter.

I think one of the problems is that some people from extremely white states just don’t understand. Basically speaking for myself that it’s a complicated issue. Growing up when we had “diversity” training in school they never mentioned police brutality. We have virtually no crime and definitely no instances of police brutality. How do I contribute to this conversation win a constructive way without offending anyone? Please help I want my country to be unified.
