‘I’m very angry!’ Apollo Nida Speaks From Jail, Unsure On Marriage to Phaedra Parks [AUDIO]
In his first interview from jail, Apollo Nida is setting the record straight. As you know, the husband of Phaedra Parks is currently serving 8 years in prison for conspiring to commit mail, wire and bank fraud.
As of late, there have been a number of conflicting reports as to whether or not he wants his two children to visit him while behind bars. During an audio interview with TMZ Live he explains,
For my own mental sanity, I tried to understand where she was coming from. But I never agreed on the fact that I didn’t want to see my children. I never agreed to that….I still want to see them…
Nida adds that he’s now been moved to a camp, which is a better environment for his children to see him.
I am at a camp now and there has been discussions about her allowing me to see the children and her bringing them to see me so hopefully that will go well in the near future…
When asked if he maintains a relationship with them, he states:
Well to squash some of the allegations, we do not FaceTime and I do not receive care packages from them but I will say that for the most part, I do call once a month, maybe twice depending on my schedule — there’s a revalidation time, so that’s when I get my phone minutes. People are busy at my house, I’d like to speak to them more but I hafta be understanding.
Nida admits that he and his wife are still technically married, but he’s unclear of their status:
I really don’t know. We’re still married on paper. We haven’t had an opportunity to sit-down and talk.
He continues:
She has spoke to my legal team as well about divorce….I need closure in my life right now. I’m very frustrated and angry…I think it’s time for her and I to sit-down and just figure out if we’re going to move forward.
