Rapper Lil Mama Arrested [Thug Life]
Not so good news for Lil Mama. The 27-year-old rapper has found herself behind bars. Early Thursday morning, she was arrested for driving over the speed limit and without a drivers license, according to TMZ.
Reportedly, she was driving in Harlem around 4 AM Thursday and was doing 38 in a 25, according to NYPD sources. After being pulled over, police ran her information and discovered license had been revoked. She was immediately taken into custody.
Lil Mama is still in custody. A day ago, she posted an inspiring Instagram message.
Lil Mama (real name Niatia Jessica Kirkland) was also a talent show judge for seven seasons on America’s Best Dance Crew. She experienced Billboard placement with the release of her debut album, VYP (Voice of the Young People), which spawned the hit single “Lip Gloss“. She was also cast for the role of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, in the VH1 biographical film CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, which aired in October 2013.
