EXCLUSIVE: Birdman’s Brother Slim Wants to Be Dismissed From Lil Wayne’s $50 Million Lawsuit
Slim Wants to Be Dismissed from Lil Wayne’s $50 Million Lawsuit
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, Birdman’s brother Slim has headed to court in Lil Wayne’s $50 million lawsuit against Cash Money and is demanding a judge order all claims against be thrown out.
Slim – real name Ronald Williams – filed docs in the case demanding he be dismissed completely from the lawsuit.
He explains he lived in New Orleans but relocated to Miami in 2005, after his home was destroyed by flooding that followed Hurricane Katrina. Slim says the lawsuit filed in Louisiana court doesn’t have jurisdiction over him, and he can’t be sued in that state.
Birdman’s brother points out he has no property or businesses in the state and despite Wayne wanting to have the case in Louisiana, it doesn’t override his right to be sued in his home state.
He is demanding the entire lawsuit be thrown out against him.
As previously reported, Weezy originally sued Birdman’s label Cash Money Records to have his record deal voided, due to Birdman not paying him. He accused the label of owing him tens of millions including a $8 million advance for ‘Tha Carter V’.
