Remy Ma Refuses To Stand While Nicki Minaj Performs
The BET Awards were memorable this year. From the well deserved, honoring of legendary songstress, Anita Baker, to the socially powerful performance from the recently released – Meek Mill, to the fiery, sultry and eye catching live set from rap superstar Nicki Minaj. The Queens rapper hit the stage at the 18th Annual BET Awards, held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The event was hosted by Jamie Foxx.
The highly anticipated performance from Minaj featured a nostalgic video game backdrop for the hit song “Chung-Li”. She removed her black robe to reveal a red latex dress for a sexy solo her “Rich Sex” verse. There was no Lil Wayne appearance but Minaj’s eye-catching dance moves keep fans attention regardless. She was later joined by 2 Chainz and Big Sean, to perform their new “Big Bank” collaboration.

Celebs in attendance appeared to love Nicki’s performance. Many rose to their feet to get a glimpse of the action on stage. However, two notable celebs did not stand and appeared to be completely disinterested in Nicki’s return to the spotlight. Not surprisingly, arch nemesis – Remy Ma and husband Papoose, failed to acknowledge her the performance. Current Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star, Spice, provided video evidence of the disrespect Remy showed Minaj. Spice (real name Grace Latoya Hamilton) is a huge Nicki fan. The Jamaican dancehall artist shared a video singing along with her idol’s jaw-dropping performance, showing the couple sitting down while Minaj was on stage.
