Tyler Perry Announces Final Madea Stageplay – “Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Farewell Play Tour”

Last month, Tyler Perry revealed that he would be killing off his beloved character, Madea. The filmmaker admitted that it was time to let go of the character.

This is it. It’s time for me to kill that old b***h. I’m tired! We’re gonna say goodbye in ’19. I just don’t want to be her age playing her.

According to Tyler Perry, before he kills off his Madea character in March 2019, he plans to take her on a stage tour. Today, more details on the tour have been made available.

Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Farewell Play Tour kicks off in Oakland on January 18th and ends in Chicago in March. The tour will be the 21st stage tour in Perry’s career. Tamela Mann, David Mann and Cassi Davis have also been announced to join the tour.
