Mariah Carey Says Ex Assistant Blackmailing Her W/ “Embarrassing Videos,” Extorting Her For $8 Million
“If there’s a camera up in here, then it’s gonna leave with me when I do!” Singer Mariah Carey is, apparently, having the same issue she sang about in her 2008 hit, “Touch My Body.” According to reports, Mariah is heading back to court after being reportedly blackmailed by ex-personal assistant, Lianna Azarian. In the court documents, Mariah alleges that Lianna secretly recorded her doing “private” and “embarrassing” things, and when she was fired, Lianna showed the videos to friends. She says Lianna told them if she didn’t receive $8 million from her ex-boss, she’d release the videos to the public.
Lianna Azarian was hired in March 2015, earning over $300,000 a year before she was terminated when Mariah cleaned house in November 2017. Lianna was fired for reportedly abused Mariah’s credit card, purchasing personal things for herself, and using Mariah’s name for discounts and favors. The superstar singer is suing Lianna for unspecified damages.
This comes at a bad time, considering Mariah Carey just recently had a sexual harassment lawsuit dismissed from her ex-manager, Stella Bulochnikov Stolper.
