NeNe Leakes Says She Begged RHOA Executives To Air Clip Exposing Cynthia Bailey: I Told Them ‘Listen This Girl Is Stabbing Me In the Back!’

The feud between NeNe Leakes and her The Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars continues. Leakes made her rounds Monday, one day after part one of the explosive 11th season reunion aired on Bravo.

It’s safe to say Leakes still isn’t getting along with the women who sat on the couch with her. While promoting her newest role in the film How High 2 on, she dished on the drama with her and the ladies.

Leakes first said this wasn’t the most difficult reunion she’s experienced.

“I’ve been through so many and so much more negative… no, it was not the hardest.”

She then revealed if there’s hope she and Cynthia Bailey will become friends again. They hit quite the rough patch after Leakes accused Bailey of setting her up and secretly inviting former RHOA cast member Kenya Moore to an event, knowing that Moore and Leakes don’t necessarily get along. Bailey has consistently denied that she had no idea Moore was actually going to come.

“You know, it took me a really long time to figure this out. I’m really clear that these are my coworkers, and that I cannot get invested into anyone that way. Because these are coworkers. At the end of the day, they want to secure the bag. And I would never put my friendship on the line to secure no bag. What’s really crazy is that she’s out here… she cut me. But she’s acting like she’s bleeding. It’s ridiculous to me. Listen, I was in a friendship with her a very, very long time. I will not go around and bash her the way that she has bashed me. And it’s easy for people to say, it’s NeNe, because they’ve always shown me as the villain, and they’ve always shown her as this nice friend. They would never point their finger at her.”

Leakes then revealed that she’s the reason Bravo producers played a clip that seemed to prove Bailey teamed up with co-star  Kandi Burruss to set her up on the show.

“The reason they caught that clip on Cynthia and Kandi, is because I pressed them to do it. They would’ve never done it. Have you ever seen a finale that ended that way? Never! The finale usually ends with everybody in one place, happy, and they show what’s going on in your life. I went to the producers and literally begged… I called all the way to New York to the executives and said, ‘Listen, this girl is stabbing me behind my back. And I’m telling you guys, I want you guys to catch it.'”

She said she also asked them to allow her to extend the finale to an additional scene so she could have a sit-down conversation with Bailey, which is when she said the producers captured the audio.

“What never happens is we roll into a whole nother scene. The finale ends, that’s it. I begged [the producers] to go back. I said, ‘I’m telling you that everything that happened at that party, she set me up.’ They can all tell you up top that Nene Leakes called. I bet you she can’t tell you that. I called, and that’s why that scene happened that way.

She continued,

But you know, nonetheless, we were friends for a long time. She can point fingers at me all she wants. And everybody who wants to believe it, believe it. This is what you need to know, this is what she’s been saying. I am a toxic friend, I was an unhealthy friend to be in a relationship with. So let’s just stick with that. To answer your question, why would she want to be friends with a toxic friend and an unhealthy person? So, no I don’t see any future there. I see her as a coworker. Let me tell you something about me. I understand now. It’s very clear. I’m willing to shoot with all of them, talk to all of them and everything. But you’re my coworker, and that’s what we’re going to be clear about. We’re not friends. A friend would never do that. A friend would never do what she knows that the public views me as. She knows the view me as a villain and she’s riding that whole wave. ‘She’s unhealthy, she’s toxic…’ I don’t like that. I would never do that to her.”

As for her friends on the show, Leakes said Marlo Hampton is her friend and she’s “cool with” Shamari DeVoe.

“Marlo is my friend, I will say that, and the rest of the girls are coworkers.”

Leakes also gave an update on how her husband, Gregg Leakes is doing after finishing his final round of chemotherapy recently. Fans saw NeNe and Gregg’s battle as Gregg fought cancer on the current season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

“When we got there all the nurses came out. And Gregg was really emotional about it becaue he’s been through it for a while. It was one of the best feelings. If you can get through this, you can get through anything.”

Meanwhile, Bailey has since responded to Leakes’s latest interview.

“Ever wonder why Beyonce, Oprah, Spielberg and other ‘powerful’ people don’t trash others? They don’t have time! They’re too busy taking care of important stuff!”
