Michelle Obama Tells Beyoncé: Girl You Make Me So Proud!
Former First Lady, Michelle Obama sends a sweet message to Beyonce following her Netflix documentary, ‘Homecoming.’ The former first lady gushed,
“Hey queen! Girl, you have done it again. Constantly raising the bar for us all and doing it flawlessly. I’d say I’m surprised, but I know who you are. I’ve seen it up close and personal. Girl, you make me so proud, and I love you.”
She specifically notes what she enjoys about ‘Homecoming’.
“I also love that your new Netflix film Homecoming is informed by the black leaders, thinkers, and poets who’ve paved the way for folks like us. I love that it’s both a celebration and a call to action. And I love that you’re using this film to inspire the next generation of history makers and record breakers who’ll run the world in the next years ahead.
Mrs. Obama ends her speech calling Beyonce her “Friend.”
“So to you my dear friend, I just want to say: Keep telling the truth, because you can do it in a way that no one else can.”
As perviously reported in 2018, the former President and First Lady are also set to take over the streaming giant, Netflix. According to reports, the former first couple have secured a deal with the streaming service. They will produce series and movies for the streaming service, as well as docu-series, documentary films, and features under the multi-year deal. Mrs. Obama spoke on their upcoming doc-series,
Barack and I have always believed in the power of storytelling to inspire us, to make us think differently about the world around us, and to help us open our minds and hearts to others. Netflix’s unparalleled service is a natural fit for the kinds of stories we want to share, and we look forward to starting this exciting new partnership.
One of the beloved former first family’s first series with Netflix is reportley going to surround the Trump administration. The Fifth Risk, which the former President has acquired the rights to, is a book about Donald Trump’s administration over the last year. USA Today’s book review reads,
The book is a brilliant indictment of Trump and his appointees’ foolhardy ignorance of what federal agencies actually do and how.
