John Witherspoon Says ‘The Boondocks’ is Coming Back
Stop the presses! Comedian/actor John Witherspoon, known for his roles as Pops in “The Wayans Bros.” and Willie Jones in “Friday,” says that another cult classic he starred in is returning to the small screen.
In a recent interview on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the 77-year-old funnyman confirmed that the animated series, “The Boondocks,” is making a comeback. He said:
“I’m on the cartoon- what is it? ‘The Boondocks?’ I didn’t change my voice for ‘The Boondocks.’ And they comin’ back! ‘The Boondocks’ is comin’ back! It’s one of the best cartoons I’ve ever been on.”
