Amar’e Stoudemire Allegedly Threatens Podcast For Insulting His ‘Week A** Knees’ After Deal W/ NY Knicks Falls Through

Amar’e Stoudemire had words for a podcast that called him and knees out after the New York Knicks decided not to sign him this season.

A Knicks fan podcast, The LeKnicks, posted a quote from Stoudemire back when he first signed with the team years ago. That quote reads,

“For me, I signed with the Knicks because of James Dolan.”

LeKnicks added the caption,

“Of course you did, he was the only one willing to shell out $100 mil on you and your weak a** knees. FOH with this brainwashed propaganda bulls***”

Stoudemire then hopped in the podcast DMs with comments of his own.

He said he wanted to meet the person who runs the account face-to-face.  He writes:

“Keep my name out of your mouth, if you can’t say it person”

He then said he was more than willing to meet them in person.

“Where should we meet. I can be there next week… People think they can’t get touch/and hide behind IG”

The page went on to post an old headline of Stoudemire from 2012.

Previously, Stoudemire was a major factor in the team when he signed a five-year, $100 million contract nine years ago. But things have changed. The Knicks bought him out in the last year. The last time he played in the NBA was the 2015-2016 season for the Miami Heat. He signed a one-day contract to retire as a New York Knick in 2016.

After that, he headed overseas to play for Jerusalem. That time was also shortlived.

Fast forward to earlier this week when he hosted a workout for 15 teams, including the Knick.  He reportedly hoped the workout would show he’s still got it, ultimately leading to an invite to training camp. The Knicks, whose owner James Dolan was present, decided not to move forward, at least when it came to bringing him back as a player.
