Drake Praises Cardi B, Brings Her Out As Surprise OVO Festival Guest: There’s Just One Girl That’s Been Going A Little Harder!

It seems Drake has officially taken a side in the Cardi B vs Nicki Minaj beef! The Canadian crooner held his annual OVO Festival in his hometown of Toronto this weekend, where many big names hit the stage in honor of their camaraderie with the Billboard-topping rapper. During his set, Drake brought out Grammy Award-winning raptress Cardi B, but his introduction was what social media deemed the most peculiar. Drake was said to have said this in regards to Cardi:

“I feel like there’s just one girl that’s been going a little harder…it’s only right that I exit the stage, and leave you in the company of grace and greatness. Enjoy.”

Yikes! Cardi B then rattled off a series of her hits, including “Press,” “I Like It,” “No Limit,” and “Bodak Yellow.” Cardi thanked him with a hilarious tweet:

“Thank you @Drake for bringing me out at OVO fest !shit was [fire emojis].You see I would do a CardiO fest in The Bronx but ya can’t even behave in Bity Island”

Drizzy, later, crowned her another compliment, saying:

“Give it up for…the legendary Cardi B one time!”

But, is Drake using his OVO Fest as a pawn in his rift with rap queen Nicki Minaj? Fans noticed that they unfollowed each other on Instagram late last year. Many even suspect that she took shots at him on her “Going Bad” freestyle.

Drake also brought out Tyga, their former Young Money labelmate, as a surprise guest.

The surprise guests didn’t stop there! Drake also allowed Chris Brown, Offset, Meek Mill, Megan Thee Stallion, and Rick Ross, and more to grace the stage.
