Kanye West’s ‘Jesus Is King’ Album Delayed — Report

Kanye West’s “Jesus Is King” album won’t be coming out Friday (Sept. 27) after all, according to new reports.

West sat down with Def Jam executives in Wyoming recently, where he held his latest Sunday Service.

It’s not clear what came of the alleged meeting, but reports say the album could be pushed back.

Still, his wife Kim Kardashian West might have confirmed that the album is still on schedule for the Sept. 27 release date.

On Wednesday, she retweeted a message that suggested the project would be coming out in two more days.

Interestingly enough, Kardashian was also the first to announce the Jesus Is King project, along with the possible release date, last month.

West has already performed the song Water in previous Sunday Services, including Coachella in April.

News of a possible postponed release date comes almost a year after West gave an update on his forthcoming album Yandhi, which was scheduled for a late 2018 release.

West said after hitting the stage with Kid Cudi at Camp Flog Gnaw in November 2018,

“It felt so good being on the stage last night with my brother Cudi. After performing again, I realize the new album I’ve been working on isn’t ready yet. I’ll announce the release date once it’s done. Thank you for understanding.”

That album hasn’t been released yet, but it might be safe to say West went in a different direction.
