Lil Rel Requests Full Custody of Son, Claims Baby Mama Lied About Being Divorced
Comedian Lil Rel Howery has baby mama drama! According to court documents, the “Carmichael Show” star is taking legal action against the mother of his two-year-old son, LeChez Davis. Lil Rel alleges that she was married to someone else when she and Rel welcomed their son – a fact which the comedic actor says he was unaware of.

In the documents, Rel Howery claims that LeChez told him that she was already divorced when their son was born. He claims that he was even flying LeChez and the baby from Chicago to California regularly when he posted a photo of his son, which prompted DMs from Chicago natives claiming that the son belonged to her ex-husband. It turns out, the husband’s last name was put on the baby’s birth certificate! Yikes!
But as recorded in an October paternity test, Rel is the father of the child. The “Uncle Drew” star said this about his drama with LeChez Davis in court documents:
“[She used our child as a pawn in a] nefarious scheme replete with concealment, misrepresentations and deception in an attempt to defraud.”
Lil Rel Howery is now fighting for full and sole custody of the two-year-old, which includes permanently moving him to California. A judge has yet to rule on the case. Meanwhile, the funny man is gearing up for the premiere of his upcoming HBO comedy special, “Lil Rel: Live in Crenshaw.”
