Adrienne Bailon Revealed As The Flamingo On “The Masked Singer”
We’d know that Cheetah Girl’s voice anywhere! Adrienne Bailon-Houghton of the Emmy Award-winning talk show, “The Real,” recently revealed to her castmates that she dusted off her vocal chops as the Flamingo on Fox’s celebrity singing competition show, “The Masked Singer.”
After months of speculation, Adrienne Bailon was revealed as the character on the season finale Wednesday (Dec. 18). She told her “The Real” co-stars that it was one of the best experiences of her career:
“Yo, I made it to the finals! Like, I’m one of the finalists! I was super excited about it. Not gonna lie- one of the best experiences of my whole life! I got to do what I love to do without people knowing that it was me.”
She continued:
“I think a lot of the part of our insecurities- people will judge you for who you are. But…you get to disguise it and be someone else…I would cry, and I’d literally feel this overwhelming rush. I’d be sobbing!”
However, she says that singing inside of a large costume with her anxiety was difficult:
“It’s not just about singing! You wear a freakin’ full on costume. You can’t breathe! Your oxygen is lacking! When I tell you guys, I was standing on top of those steps, and when we would begin, I was so nervous.”
“You guys know that I also suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. I would literally tell myself, ‘I’m gonna faint!’ My legs felt like jello at the top of those steps!”
Before her big reveal, her “The Real” co-hosts suspected it was her unique voice inside the Flamingo’s costume. But she put on a great poker face!
