There may be a light at the end of the tunnel for NBA player J.R. Smith and his wife, Jewel Smith, amid the public scandal regarding their marriage. Social media users were in shock after Jewel Smith took to Instagram to pray for her baller husband after reports leaked that he’d been having an affair with actress Candice Patton. Jewel Smith also, seemingly, prayed, that Candice Patton has a change of heart while allegedly pursuing a married man.

J.R. Smith dished out his own prayer on his Instagram account, adding that social media isn’t the place for relationship woes.

J.R. Smith’s relationship with Candice can seemingly be traced to Halloween when she implied that her bae didn’t enjoy snakes but she did.

J.R. later admitted that Christmas was a tense time for him.

However, the Smiths seemed to push their drama aside to celebrate their daughter Dakota Smith’s third birthday.

Both J.R. and Jewel Smith can be seen gathered around Dakota Smith‘s ladybug-themed birthday cake.
