Gilbert Arenas Is Now A Basketball Coach: Kobe Bryant Told Me To Stop Being An Idiot On Social Media!
Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas, 39, took to his Instagram on Tuesday (Jan. 28th), sharing his personal memory with the late fallen basketball legend Kobe Bryant before his unexpected death over the weekend (Jan. 26th). In his post, Gilbert Arenas shares a throwback shot he and Kobe took with Arenas’ two boy. The former NBA star says Kobe encouraged him to use his knowledge in a form of coaching rather than troll with online platforms.
“I will fulfill the task u requested from me in this picture. You told me to use my bright basketball mind on some form of coaching on an nba/college bench or coaching kids stop wasting it being an idiot on social media….Today I’m starting my coaching career with Cavs Youth 14u “the legacy of an assassins mind will live on.”
In addition, Arenas shared a lengthy post detailing he and Kobe’s last conversation about their daughters on Sunday. Afterwards, Arenas says hours after the Laker legend introduced him to his daughter Gianna Bryant, he gave the former Washington Wizards guard an ugly beating on the court.
“We were just talking about my daughter teaming up with ur daughter this summer u introduced me to ur daughter #GIGI as this the muthafucker that scored 60 points on me. My heart broke knowing u passed away in a helicopter crash…my heart stopped when I realized today was game day and ur daughter would be with u. “AS A HOOPER” my heart is at ease knowing the hardest working “HOOP GOD” was on his way to the gym to coach his daughter.”
As previously reported, Kobe will reportedly be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as part of its 2020 class. Chairman of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Jerry Colangelo reveals Kobe Bryant will be given a tribute for his iconic 19 season career. Colangelo says,
“Kobe will be honored the way he should be.”
The Federal Aviation Administration, National Transportation Safety Board, and the FBI have launched investigations into the crash.
