Lil Wayne Revealed as Robot on The Masked Singer [VIDEO]
The hit Fox series “The Masked Singer” kicked off season 3 Sunday (Feb. 2nd), and hitmaker Lil Wayne has already been revealed as the Robot. Lil Wayne was the first contestant to be unmasked as he was eliminated from the singing competition. The rapper’s reveal shocked the panel, which included guest panelist, Jamie Foxx. Host Nick Cannon was impressed and said,
“He just made this show so much cooler, right?”

Before being revealed, the rapper sang Lenny Kravitz’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way”. Unfortunately for him, the audience voted the performance the least liked of the night, so he had to reveal his identity.

Before he did, however, judges Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke were puzzled, guessing him to be Floyd Mayweather, Flavor Flav, Shaun White, Johnny Knoxville or Steve-O. Guest of the night Jamie Foxx says,
“I named some white guy.”

When the mask came off, Wayne said he chose the mechanical Robot costume to score cool points with his four kids.
“My kids, man, my kids. My kids watch the show with me and [I] know they’re going to like the robot costume.”
As previously reported, Wayne dropped a brand new album Friday (Jan. 31st), after a nearly two-year hiatus. Funeral has 24 tracks and features heavy-hitters Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Adam Levine, O.T. Genasis, Lil Twist, Take Off, Jay Rock, Lil Baby, and The Dream. Listen more here.
“The Masked Singer” airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
