Chaka Khan Criticized For Her All-Star National Anthem Performance
Who better to kick off this year’s NBA All Star game than a Chicago legend? Ten-time Grammy winning singer, Chaka Khan, was tapped to sing the National Anthem at this year’s All-Star celebration – and like Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie‘s 2018 rendition – it wasn’t exactly met with rave reviews.
Social media users expressed that Chaka’s “Star Spangled Banner” was long-winded and overdressed by their standards.
I adore Chaka Khan. She is a living legend, but I DID NOT like that rendition of the Star Spangled Banner AT ALL. Lord help her. #NBAAllStar pic.twitter.com/UVwfMDA1d7

Meanwhile, Chaka Khan seemingly enjoyed documenting her All-Star experience on Instagram. She showed off her custom jersey ensemble by designer Linda Stokes.
She, later, posed with the likes of Tiffany Haddish, Queen Latifah, and NBA baller Ben Simmons.
