Will Smith Jokes He ‘Feels Responsible’ For False Info About Coronavirus Because Of His “I Am Legend” Role
Is Will Smith the cause of the coronavirus conspiracy theories? While we know that’s not true, somehow he feels one of his hit movies makes him responsible for how the public perceives the threat of the global pandemic. In Will’s 2007 movie, I Am Legend, he played a virologist who battled and survived a man-made plague that transformed citizens into zombies.
In the latest episode of his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith‘s, hit Facebook talk show – “Red Table Talk” – Will, Jada, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, and their children, Willow Smith, and Trey Smith, spoke to an expert on the coronavirus. Will Smith said:
“I wanted to do this because…I made ‘I Am Legend,’ so I feel responsible for a lot of the misinformation…There was a basic foundational comprehension of viruses and viral pathogens.”

“It really changed my life and how I looked at the world. There’s basic concepts that people do not understand.”

Jaden Smith
Ironically, Will’s and Jada’s son, Jaden Smith, was not a part of the episode because he is social distancing from the Smith family due to previous traveling.
