Nene Leakes Reveals She’s Seeing A Therapist: I Felt Traumatized

Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Nene Leakes is seeking professional help.

She revealed in a video conversation with TV personality Jennifer Williams that she is currently seeing a therapist. Nene Leakes has been the subject of a lot of RHOA drama in the past few days. In a recent story, we reported that Leakes felt “targeted” during the taping of the RHOA reunion.

Leakes mentioned:

“The first two and a half hours- it was all questioning me. Me, me, me, me! NeNe, NeNe, NeNe, NeNe! I thought, ‘Okay. So it’s all me.’”

Another recent issue aroused from RHOA co-star Yovanna Momplaisir, who accused Leakes of using her and creating the infamous “snake gate”.

Now, amid the recent drama, Nene Leakes has sought help from a therapist. In a discussion with Jennifer Williams, Nene Leakes disclosed what led to her reaching out for help:

“I mentioned to you earlier today, seeing a therapist. I’m seeing a therapist. I’ve had a phone call with the therapist. We haven’t seen each other in person because we can’t, because of quarantine. But, I felt very traumatized. I think, a lot of times, people see the tough exterior and they don’t really know that you hurt inside sometimes like everybody else.”

Nene continued:

“The trauma that I experienced in the last few days, I felt, like, it was really time for me to see somebody.

This isn’t the first time that the 52-year-old fashion designer has gone to counseling.Nene and her husband Gregg Leakes sought couple’s therapy from Dr. Jeff Gardere, during an episode of Nene’s Conversations & Cocktails.
