Remy Ma & Papoose Celebrate 12 Year Anniversary!
Congratulations are in order for one of Hip Hop’s favorite duos, Remy Ma and Papoose. The couple is celebrating 12 years of marriage! Though they wed in 2008 while Remy Ma was incarcerated, they had an official ceremony in February 2016, two years after she was released from prison in 2014. Their ceremony was featured on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: New York.”
Remy Ma took to her Instagram page to show love to her husband of 12 years.
Her sweet sentiments read:
“12 Years!!! Happy Anniversary Husband…love you with every part of my being. Sidebar: these pics are from our 10 year vow renewal ; I know I said we’d do it again at 20 years but I think I wanna marry you again sooner lol…15 year anniversary it’s lit!! #MeetTheMackies #BlackLove #RemyMa”
Papoose, a rapper with his own acclaim, has been known to advocate for black love and marriages. His song, appropriately titled, ‘Black Love’, features Remy May in the video.
Papoose spoke on their romance during an interview with XXL and said,
“Our marriage has been the best 10 years of my life! Needed to reassure her that I still worship the ground she walks on. I would advise all married couples to do it! It’s a reminder of the obligations, loyalty, love & respect u owe to your partner,” Papoose wrote on Instagram.”
The pair have been through a lot of ups and downs together. One mountain they conquered together was the 6 years that Remy Ma spent behind bars after being sentenced to 8 years.
But one of the many success stories the two share is the birth of their little girl, Reminisce Mackenzie in December 2018.

Together, they parent five children in total. Remy had a son and became step-mom to Papoose’s three children when they married.
Congrats Remy and Papoose!
