Tamar Braxton Nails Babyface’s #ToniBraxtonChallenge & It’s Hilarious [WATCH]

Earlier this month, Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds postponed his Mother’s Day special on Instagram live, out of respect for his late friend Andre Harrell.  This week he announced the new date of the special and launched the #ToniBraxtonChallenge all at the same time.

Dozens of singers tried to nail the distinctive Toni Braxton tone, but none were quite as good her very own sister’s take, Tamar Braxton.  Tamar Braxton took on the challenge and gave Babyface a few pointers of how to sound like Toni Braxton.

“Alright Babyface I love you so much so, I’m gone show you how to do Toni Braxton. You gotta put bass in your throat like (clears throat) okay?  Like you finna cough or burp or something, and like you can’t finish no sentence.  And uhm, you just gotta that real deep emotion, like can’t nobody hear what you’re saying.”

She then goes on to give a perfect impersonation of her sister, singing  “Let It Flow” from Waiting To Exhale.

Industry friends and fans of the musical family all left comments, letting Tamar Braxton know that she sounded just like her sister, including Ashanti and L.A. Reid.

Creator of the challenge, Babyface also hopped in the comments, thanking Tamar for the tips,

This isn’t the first time Tamar Braxton has impersonated her legendary sister. She’s been taking on this challenge for years and was caught on camera a couple of times on the family’s reality show, WEtv’s “Braxton Family Values”.
