John Boyega Is Unbothered After His Tweet About Racists Is Flagged On Twitter
Actor John Boyega has apparently ruffled some feathers because one of his tweets in response to a Twitter user was recently reported. In response to the police-involved death of George Floyd in Minneapolis Monday (May 25), John Boyega, filmmaker Ava DuVernay, former NBA star Stephen Jackson, and many other celebrities have taken to their social media platforms to speak out about the incident as well as other similar incidents where African-Americans have died while in police custody.

Stephen Jackson on friend George Floyd’s death
John Boyega was particularly vocal recently about the incident involving George Floyd, and that seemed to make people upset. A Twitter user reported John‘s reaction to a fan who took issue with him calling out racists.

The reported tweet reads,
Are you guys on twitter dedicated to seeing what’s in your head and not what I wrote? Take a break because you’re one of them. As I said you can’t force me to talk about what I’m not talking about. Shut up.

The Star Wars actor shared the notification he received from Twitter indicating that this tweet had been reported. The notice from Twitter said, in part, the following:
We have investigated the reported content and could not identify any violations of the Twitter Rules (https://support.twitter.com/articles/18311) or German law. Accordingly, we have not taken any action at this time.
John captioned the post:
Off to the shops. Does anyone want anything?
