Rapper Drake is joining dozens of celebrities to help protestors who are arrested while challenging the death of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer.

He announced his $100,000 donation to a relief fund that will go towards freeing protestors.
Drake posted a screenshot of a message from poet Mustafa Ahmed challenging him to match and exceed his $400 donation to the National Bail Out initiative. Mustafa Ahmed’s post reads,”
“My Toronto Kings @Champagnepapi @theweeknd, swipe up and match my donation but add 3 zeros! Lets help reunite black families.”

The Toronto rapper followed that screenshot with a receipt showing his $100,000 donation.

Several celebrities like Gabrielle Union, Colin Kaepernick, Lizzo, Kerry Washington, Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend, have shown their support for protestors around the country through donating to organizations like the National Bail Out Fund.

The National Bail Out is described as a
“Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a movement to end pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration all while supporting Black communities.”
Over the weekend Drake posted a photo on Instagram of an affirmation with the caption reading “Rest In Heaven George Floyd.”
