John Boyega is one of the many celebrities that have been on the front lines since news broke of Minneapolis man, George Floyd‘s, tragic death at the hands of police. Just last week, John Boyega took a clear stance against racism on social media. He tweeted:
“I really f*cking hate racists.”

He, later, made it clear that his work held no space for racist fans.

Thousands gathered today (6/3/20) for Black Lives Matter protests in London’s Hyde Park, and the actor was among the passionate crowd. Nearly inconsolable, he addressed the crowd with this call to action:
“Black men, we need to take care of our Black women! We need to take care of them! They’re our’s! They’re our’s! They’re our future! We cannot demonize our own!”
He continued:
“We are the pillars of the family. Imagine this: a nation that is set up with individual families that are thriving, that are healthy, that communicate, that raise their children in love.”
