Kelly Clarkson Files For Divorce After 7 Years Of Marriage, Wants A Prenup Enforced
Singer Kelly Clarkson has filed for divorce from her husband of seven years Brandon Blackstock on June 4. According to the court documents, Kelly is also seeking joint legal and physical custody of the two children that they share together, 5 year old River and 4 year old Remington.
Kelly Clarkson has also asked the courts to terminate Brandon Blackstock’s ability to ask for spousal support, as Kelly is worth $45 million. She also wants their prenuptial agreement to be enforced, which could help to outline a custody agreement between the two.
Brandon and Kelly Clarkson got engaged at the end of 2012 after 10 months of dating and got married in October of 2013. According to reports, the couple listed their home in Los Angeles last month for $9.9 million and Kelly listed her waterfront estate in Tennessee for $7.4 million in December.
Brandon and Kelly share two children together River Rose, 5 and Remington Alexander, 4. Brandon has two older children from a previous marriage named Savannah, 18, and Seth, 13. In April, Brandon gathered three out of the four children to wish Kelly a happy birthday on her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.
